BUTLER 67, DETROIT 63--The Indy Star

Lade Akande scored a team-high 17 points and the Bulldogs overcame a sluggish first half to beat visiting Detroit.
Butler's 17th win was its most since the 1998-99 campaign and the most during coach Beth Couture's six seasons at the school.
Detroit jumped out a 10-0 lead and took a 13-point margin (21-8) with 9:13 to go in the opening period.
After shooting just 30 percent (9-for-30) in the first half, Butler answered with a 50 percent (13-for-26) effort following the break.
