BUTLER 66, BALL ST. 49--The Indy Star

Susan Lester scored 25 points and grabbed six rebounds as the Bulldogs (10-1) beat the host Cardinals (4-9). Lade Akande added 12 points with seven rebounds for Butler. Lisa Rusche scored 20 points to pace Ball State.

Todd Brown scored 24 points to help Wright State beat Belmont in overtime at the Dr Pepper Tournament at Chattanooga.

With three seconds left in regulation, Jordan Campbell made a layup to tie the score at 60-60 for Belmont (7-6) and force overtime.

Belmont's Justin Hare made two free throws in the extra period to tie the game at 63-63. But Scottie Wilson made a dunk seconds later to put Wright State (7-3) on top for good.

Shane Dansby and Hare both finished with 13 points a piece for Belmont.

The Raiders' shot 49.1 percent from the field, compared to 39.7 percent for the Bruins.

CARBONDALE, Ill. — A.J. Graves sank a half-court shot at the buzzer to lift No. 16 Butler to a 57-55 win over Southern Illinois on Friday night.
Wesley Clemmons made a 3-pointer with just over a minute remaining to give the Salukis a 55-52 lead but Mike Green converted a layup for the Bulldogs.
Southern Illinois’ Tyrone Green then missed a free throw, setting the stage for Graves’ shot.
Green led Butler (12-1) with 19 points. Matt Howard added 15 and Graves finished with 10.
Joshua Bone scored a career-high 19 points, including fi ve 3-pointers, for the Salukis (5-6). Randal Falker added 14 points.
