Seed Team Conf 1st round matchup
---- ---------- ---- -----------------
#1 Butler 15-0 Has clinched #1 seed and double-bye
#2 Cleveland State 9-4 Would receive double-bye
#3 Green Bay 9-5 Would host #10 Youngstown State
#4 Wright State 9-5 Would host #9 UIC
#5 Valparaiso 8-7 Would host #8 Loyola
#6 Detroit 7-7 Would host #7 Milwaukee
#7 Milwaukee 5-8
#8 Loyola 4-10
#9 UIC 2-12
#10 Youngstown State 2-12

Green Bay is 1-0 against WSU. The rematch is later this week, so the #3 seed tiebreaker could change after that game.

Butler put the HL office out of its misery by beating YSU to clinch sole possession of first place. No longer any need for complicated tiebreakers.

UIC is 1-1 against YSU. Again, like with Green Bay and WSU, for the moment, UIC's 0-1 record against Butler is better than YSU's 0-2 record, but that can obviously change next Wednesday at Hinkle Fieldhouse (and probably will change). Looking ahead (assuming UIC loses at Hinkle next week): Green Bay can break the tie in favor of UIC if UIC beats them in the final week, WSU or Valpo can break the tie in favor of YSU if YSU beats them, Detroit can break the tie in favor of UIC if Detroit beats YSU, Milwaukee can break the tie in either direction depending on how they do against each team in the final weeks of the season.
