On the Horizon: Done in by injuries and an over-ambitious nonconference schedule, the Cleveland State Vikings might find it hard to get into either the College Basketball Invitational or the College Insider Tournament after finishing 16-17.

The real downer is that 6-4 junior forward D'Aundray Brown has been injured and missed postseason opportunities in the Horizon League tournaments the past two seasons -- plus the NCAA Tournament last year.

However, the Vikings should be able to build on this campaign as CSU's entire starting lineup returns on this senior-less roster. In addition, two much-needed freshmen post players will be available for coach Gary Waters. Look for the Vikings to still play a quality schedule next season, but to tone it down at the top while getting a tougher list of midmajors -- including Akron and Kent State -- back on the ledger.

CSU should be the elite team in Northeast Ohio, and in the Horizon League, once again in 2010-11.
