Cleveland State (9-9, 3-1): Just about every player in the country hits a dry spell of sorts during the season. Cleveland State's junior guard Trey Lewis is in the midst of his.

Over the last two games he has scored 0 and 2 points as defenses are keying on him. In CSU's 65-61 victory over Oakland, Lewis only attempted two shots as the Grizzlies put a 6-7 wing player on him to limit his 3-point attempts, and contain his drives to the hoop.

In the Vikings 58-56 loss at Valparaiso, Lewis took nine shots and only made one. Before this two-game drought, Lewis was averaging 17.8 points and shooting 45.1 percent from the field. He's now down to 15.9 points on 43.3 percent shooting. The Vikings remain on the road this week with games Wednesday at Wright State and Youngstown State.

WSU (10-7, 2-1) is a half game behind CSU in the standings. The Vikings and Valparaiso are tied for second, behind undefeated Green Bay in Horizon League play.

Team of the Week

After defending its home court against UIC and Cleveland State last week, Valparaiso is tied with Gonzaga for the nation’s lead with 16 wins. The Crusaders blew out UIC with ease and then survived Cleveland State, in part thanks to a late inbounds play.

The Crusaders also sit a half-game out of first place in the Horizon League.
