Miami Heat gets a lesson in respect--Miami Herald
Second-year point guard Norris Cole sat out against the Wizards with a strained groin muscle but is expected to start against New York. Reserve guard Terrel Harris, who played 12 minutes on Tuesday, is also an option but, with Chalmers out, a bulk of the team’s point-guard responsibilities will fall to James. He had 26 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists against the Wizards.

Outlook: … With Mario Chalmers out with an injury to his left ring finger, the Heat is expected to start Norris Cole. Cole sat out Tuesday’s loss to the Wizards with a strained groin.

Heat's Mario Chalmers could miss up to five games--South Florida Sun Sentinel
The injury could leave the Heat thin at point guard. Norris Cole did not play against the Wizards because of a groin strain. His status is day-to-day, but the Heat were encouraged by Cole being able to complete a workout Tuesday morning.

If Cole is unable to suit up versus the New York Knicks Thursday, the Heat will turn to LeBron James and Dwyane Wade as primary ball-handlers.

Rounding Up November: The Top Mid-Major Teams--Mid-Major Madness
Illinois-Chicago. Maybe I'm late to the party, but these guys came out of nowhere for me. They currently sit at 6-1, with their only loss coming by 7 at the Pit against New Mexico. Most recently, they knocked off Northwestern, on the road. They've still got a couple of tough test in the non-conference, but with a new look Horizon Conference, they could be the class of the league.
