13. Cleveland State (3-0). Got that really nice win over Vandy, which didn’t have Festus Ezeli, so take that into consideration. But I’m going with the Vikings here. Gary Waters’ team started well last year, too. Next two: at Kent State Tuesday; Boston University on Friday.

ILLINOIS VS. GREEN BAY (5:30 p.m. Thursday at Mario Morales Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico)

Like Purdue, two cold-weather teams get to travel for Thanksgiving to a warmer location. Illinois is off to a 2-3 start thanks to some bad luck against Pac-12 opponents. Illinois lost to both Oregon and California after victories against Cleveland State and Memphis. Kersten Magrum had 24 points and 12 rebounds in a 78-74 loss to Oregon, so the team can definitely score. The Phoenix are 3-0 and averaging 83 points a game following victories over North Dakota State, Toledo and Eastern Michigan. Julie Wojta led Green Bay with 23 points and eight boards in the Eastern Michigan game.

High-Major Men's Basketball Game Breakdowns 11/21-11/24--College Sports Madness

MILWAUKEE AT MICHIGAN STATE (7 p.m. Wednesday at Breslin Center in East Lansing, Michigan)

It has been a strong start for Wisconsin-Milwaukee, as the Horizon League members are off to a 4-0 start that includes wins over Southwest State (Minn.), Indiana-Purdue Indianapolis (IUPUI), Texas Southern and Northern Illinois. Ryan Allen leads the Panthers at 13.3 points per game, and James Haarsma has 11.7 points and 12 rebounds a contest. Even with that balanced scoring, Milwaukee will likely run into problems with Michigan State, which is up to 2-2 following early losses to North Carolina and Duke and wins over Texas Southern and Arkansas-Little Rock. Draymond Green leads the way at 11.7 points and 12 rebounds a game.
