Northern Kentucky senior Drew McDonald has been one of the more underappreciated players in the country the past couple years, a versatile big man who has had a terrific career. McDonald added to his NKU legacy with a game-winning three-pointer with a game-winning three-pointer with 1.6 seconds left to lift the Norse to a 64-63 win over Oakland in the Horizon League semifinals. Also advancing was No. 1 seed Wright State, which handled Wisconsin-Green Bay 66-54 with Bill Wampler scoring 18 points off the bench.

The son of Detroit head coach Mike Davis, Antoine had one of college basketball’s clearest green lights as a freshman. He proved his worth by breaking Steph Curry’s freshman three-point record and connecting on 38% of his long-distance shots, while not being one-dimensional.

Key stats: 26.1 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 3.6 apg

Two of the top-five scorers this season -- Campbell's Chris Clemons and South dakota State's Mike Daum -- are among the nine most illustrious scorers in NCAA Division I history. Two of the others -- Hofstra's Justin Wright-Foreman and Hampton's Jermaine Marrow -- are upperclassmen. Sandwiched between them is Antoine Davis, who as a freshman this season ranks third in scoring averaging 26.1 points per game. If he plays four seasons and continues at this torrent scoring pace, he'd be pushing Daum and Clemons among the top 10 scorers in Division I history with ease. He casually hung a 30-burger -- his ninth game of 30+ this season -- to cap his strong week against Northern Kentucky.
