The Horizon League regular season champion has been decided, as Valparaiso went into Cleveland and pulled out an impressive 56-53 win over Cleveland State. That clinches the regular season title for the Crusaders, who played excellent defense for much of the game and did enough offensively, especially when the game was on the line, to come out victorious. Bryce Drew has done this with a roster that has just two seniors, only one of whom has played the entire season.

Valparaiso’s road win over Cleveland State last night gave the Crusaders the regular season championship and the top seed. Spots two and three are still up for grabs in this one, though, as the winner will receive the other double-bye to the semifinals in the eight-team tournament.
