NCAA Basketball Week 5: Indiana Week Night Previews--SB Nation Indiana

Dec 6, 2010 - The non-conference schedule is now in full swing, and several teams have games against rivals from other conferences:

* Purdue at Valparaiso - Tuesday, 9 p.m. (ESPNU): After winning in Blacksburg in Overtime, and crushing Alabama, the Boilermakers travel up I-65 to take on Homer Drew's Valparaiso Crusaders. Purdue won last year's matchup by 26 in West Lafayette. E'twan Moore and JuJuan Johnson lead the Boilermakers in Points, Rebounds, and Assists per game, and have been a two-man wrecking crew so far this season. SB Nation Indiana Pick: Purdue
...
* Butler at Xavier - Thursday, 9:00 p.m. (ESPN2): Butler looks to rebound off their third loss of the season on Saturday, an 82-70 loss to Duke, a rematch from the National Championship game from April. The loss put the Bulldogs at 4-3 on the season, very uncharacteristic for them. They travel to Cincinnati to take on the Xavier Musketeers, who are having their own struggles this season. XU is 5-2 on the season, but that includes a home OT win against Wofford and a loss at Miami, OH. While this game doesn't have the same sizzle as in years past, they are arguably the two best "mid-major" programs in the country. SBNation Indiana Pick: Butler.
