Basketball signs another Public League star
The UIC basketball program officially netted another recruit last week, the program announced last Wednesday. DeMarkus Isom-Jones, a 6'5" swingman from Chicago's Engelwood High School signed his National Letter of Intent last week.
Isom-Jones averaged 24 points and eight rebounds per game last season for the 2A state sectional finalist Eagles.
Isom-Jones becomes the second public league player, and third Chicago-based recruit signed by the UIC coaching staff this year, joining John Hope College Prep 6'1" guard Zavion Neely and Harmony Community School of Cincinnati 6'7" forward Jelani Poston on the UIC roster.
