TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTED GAMES:

-MICHIGAN STATE VS OAKLAND.  This game is in Detroit, and it’s a huge chance for Oakland to pick up another notable win.  They’ve already got a nice win against Oklahoma State, but if they could pick this one up they could make a legit claim that they belong inside the bubble.  Michigan State keeps looking better and better and is showing all signs of ending up as a protected seed caliber team.

DAY BALL NOTES (we all love day ball, and bad teams are all part of the charm):

  1. Recurring theme on today’s slate pops up again with Illinois State. Do they have any motivation in front of a sparse BloNo crowd with break looming? UTSA is likely without point guard Ivy-Curry who probably hasn’t cleared covid protocol, and he’s by far their best on ball defender. Unbelievably the 2-2-1/2-3 zone is back for Muller, and it’s somehow worse than ever before, but the Runners are not great in zone O. Seems like a game ISU will oddly run in, which is better for UTSA.
