DIVISION 1 RECAPS/RANKINGS

6. OAKLAND (3-12, 3-5 HL)

The Golden Grizzlies have enjoyed their time in conference play, winning three of eight after an 0-7 start. This past weekend, however, Oakland was swept by Green Bay in the Cheese State. On Friday, GB won 84-81 in overtime. Jalen Moore finished with 33 points, Rashad Williams added 15 points, and Daniel Oladapo had 20 points and 18 rebounds.

On Saturday, the Phoenix completed the sweep with an 87-78 win over Oakland. A balanced scoring attack by the starting lineup saw all five Golden Grizzlies’ starters get to double figures: Rashad Williams (20), Daniel Oladapo (18), Jalen Moore (15, and 13 assists), Trey Townsend (13) and Micah Parrish (10). Oakland’s bench took only three field goal attempts, and as a result only scored two points.

This week, the Golden Grizzlies host Youngstown State for two games (Friday/Saturday).

7. DETROIT MERCY (1-7, 0-4 HL)

The Titans have not played since December 27, as they have cancelled some contests. They are currently on a four-game losing streak and are scheduled to host Green Bay on Friday and Saturday upcoming.
