Davis: My picks against the spread for UNC-Ohio State, Virginia-Purdue and the rest of the night’s top games--The Athletic
Green Bay at Xavier (-18½), 7 p.m., FS2: Xavier played with a thin bench the first few weeks, so it’s a relief for the Musketeers to get freshmen KyKy Tandy and Daniel Ramsey back from injuries. Hopefully, they can help this team’s putrid 3-point shooting, which at 28.5 percent ranks last in the Big East. Green Bay is going to try to speed things up, but the Phoenix ranks 315th in the country in defensive efficiency, and its four losses have come by an average margin of 18.3 points, including a 99-81 home loss to Colgate. The pick: Xavier

News, Notes, and Highlighted Games: Tuesday, Dec 3rd--Hoops HD

HIGHLIGHTED GAMES
-WESTERN KENTUCKY AT WRIGHT STATE.  It isn’t all that likely that either team will land inside the bubble, but it’s still an intriguing match-up between the likely Horizon League frontrunner and the likely Conference USA frontrunner.
-ILLINOIS STATE AT TCU.  It may be a buy game, but this one could be interesting.  Illinois State is just 3-4, but at times they’ve looked a lot better than what that record indicates.  TCU is 5-1 on the year, but has really just been feeding off of cupcakes and lost their only real test of the season against Clemson.  They need to hold serve in this one.
