The Other Top 25: Norse Up!--Mid-Major Madness
If you haven’t lost in almost a month and have a two-game lead in your league standings, there’s a good chance people have taken notice.

That’s especially true for Northern Kentucky, which entered The Other Top 25 at 21 this week on the heels of six straight wins and 10 wins in 11 games.

Drew McDonald has established himself as one of the underrated stars of the mid-major world. Last time out against Milwaukee, he scored 30 points on 6-10 shooting from three to go with 13 rebounds and four assists. And that’s a fairly typical performance from him. He’s leading the Horizon League in three-point shooting percentage in conference (50 percent), and ranks fourth in the Horizon in overall scoring average (19.2 ppg) and rebounding (10.1 rpg).

The Norse will get a true road test on Friday at IUPUI. If they can win that, there’s only one real stumbling block left en route to running the table the rest of the way.
