Robert Morris

Projected overall record: 13-18

Projected conference record: 9-11

Rank: No. 304

The skinny: On the surface, it looks like more pain for coach Andy Toole’s team in its third Horizon League campaign. Nine conference wins, however, would actually be a solid step forward after just three in 2020-21 and five in 2021-22. It’s the non-conference where things could be painful, as the Colonials rank ahead of just Evansville (No. 323), Central Michigan (No. 305) and former NEC rival St. Francis of Pennsylvania (No. 315) before they get into their league slate. Once they navigate that tough stretch, it will be a tight path to a potential .500 conference record. The Colonials have a 53% chance in their New Year’s Eve home game against Cleveland State and a 52% chance in their Jan. 27 home game against Detroit. They’ll likely need to snag wins in both of those, then pull out victories as short underdogs either at Milwaukee (44%) on Jan. 19 or at home against Oakland (45%) on Jan. 29 to be in the mix for what would be an important program-building milestone.
