GOLD STAR PLAYER OF THE WEEK

THE INFANTRY GUNNER

Dwayne Cohill, Youngstown State

  • Thresholds: 20 FTA, 95.0 FT%
  • Cohill’s line: 24 FTA, 95.8 FT%

Cohill lived at the free-throw line last week as just one of nine players to take 24 shots from the charity stripe. He was nearly perfect on those attempts, going 13-for-14 in a win over Green Bay and then a perfect 10-for-10 in a loss to Milwaukie. None of the other eight players to shoot so many free throws was able to cross the 90-percent plateau for accuracy. Cohill is now up to 87.4 percent from the line, and the Penguins rank 10th nationally in team free throw percentage.
