BUTLER INKS TWO: The signings of guards Shelvin Mack of Lexington (Ky.) Bryan Station and Ronald Nored of Homewood, Ala., give Butler five new players for Brad Stevens, who earlier this week signed a seven-year contract extension after producing a school- and Horizon League record 30 wins in his first season as coach.

Last fall, Stevens also signed three Indiana high school players -- 6-foot-8 Gordon Hayward of Class 4A champion Brownsburg; 6-7 Garrett Butcher, a first-team All-State pick from Edgewood; and 6-3 Chase Stigall of New Castle.

"We're thrilled to have these five players in our program," Stevens said. "They all fit in well in our system and each is committed to team success."
