Bart Lundy – Milwaukee (1/11/26). Lundy recorded the
500th victory of his NCAA career with a 95-83 win over IU
Indy. In his 24th season on the sidelines, Lundy becomes the
22nd active NCAA coach to reach 500 career victories at all
levels. He has done so winning at a .678 clip – with a list of around only
40 coaches all-time reaching the plateau with a higher winning percentage.

WRIGHT STATE -This Raider program headed North to take on the
Michigan schools of the Horizon, Detroit Mercy, and Oakland. Always a
difficult task. Detroit has sneakily been ripping off conference wins. But,
this Raider team has found such a groove within terrific shot selection,
three-point execution, and perimeter defense over the past month. They were
able to pass both tests and show they belong at the top of the Horizon.
Raiders raced out to a 41-14 lead in the opening 15 minutes in a joust for
first place at Oakland, making 17 of their first 27 shots and storming to a
94-84 victory Sunday. Sitting now at 6-1 and commanding the Horizon— their
best start since also going 6-1 in 2021-22 (that team finished fourth).
Green Bay continues to be one of the more entertaining teams to watch right
now. The Phoenix are playing with confidence, shooting the ball well, and
responding in big spots. At home on Sunday, they keep that momentum going
and come away with a comfortable win.
-Wright State @ Oakland (Horizon League) – these appear to be the two
best teams in the conference. Strangely enough this is the second conference
game the two have played against each other with Wright State winning the
first one, and will likely have a huge impact on who ends up finishing
first.
#143 Wright State at #128 Oakland (-4), 3 PM ET, ESPN2.
The
first meeting between these two in Dayton was never close, with Wright
State scoring 1.5 PPP in zone offense, which isn't aberrational, as the
Raiders have torched in zone offense all season (96th percentile
efficiency rating). The Raiders actually lost PG Michael Cooper to an
injury in that game, and he hasn't played since, but it hasn't mattered,
as they've simply traded his offense for more of TJ Burch's defense.
per EvanMiya on/off efficiency data
Worth
noting Oakland scored at a season low efficiency at the rim (.8 PPP) on
11/27 shooting. I wasn't a particular believer in Wright State's rim
defense through OOC play, but they've been the second best 2PT% defense
in the Horizon to date. I'm reluctant to think Kampe gets swept, and if
Cooper remains out, it's an offense for defense trade - but the Raiders
have clearly "figured out" the zone. - Jordan Majewski

IUPUI Jaguars at Green Bay Phoenix
IUPUI has struggled all season, with just four wins to this point.
They now face a Green Bay team looking for its third straight
victory, which would push the Phoenix above .500 on the year.
Green Bay should control most of this game, but this feels like a
spot where things stay closer than expected. The Phoenix still get
the win, but the Jaguars do enough to hang around and cover.
Betting Pick: IUPUI Jaguars +8.5 over Green Bay Phoenix Final Score Pick:
Green Bay 80-75 over IUPUI
